With a school-age son of my own, it is of the utmost importance that we keep pushing for changes in our schools. Schools are currently unsafe, with low academic standards and no accountability.
Safety
Students are able to physically assault teachers, staff and other students and yet be rewarded for their behavior.
Academics
Standards have been lowered to the point that graduations rates continue to plumet and scores go down.
Accountability
The District actively hides its activity and is never held accountable for its actions.
I am running to make school better for my son, and all students in WCSD.
